My Story
About the Founder: Kristi Padilla
A Life Centered Around the Table
My story begins in the aisles of a produce warehouse. Growing up, I watched my parents run their own produce company, learning early on how to spot the perfect ripeness of a fruit and the crispness of a vegetable. You could say that an appreciation for fresh, quality ingredients is in my DNA.
That early foundation led me to a fifteen-year career in the catering industry. Those years taught me the "art of the event"—how to coordinate, how to serve, and, most importantly, how a beautifully displayed table can instantly transform the energy of a room. I fell in love with the way food acts as a centerpiece for life’s most significant moments.
From Produce to Purpose
When the art of charcuterie began to rise in popularity, something clicked. I found myself constantly creating boards for friends and family, finding a deep, creative joy in the colors and textures of a perfectly arranged spread. But it wasn't just a hobby; I felt a tug on my heart that I couldn't ignore.
I believe that when we listen, God speaks. He didn't just call me to start a business; He gave me the vision and the name for it: Bread and Oil Charcuterie. This isn’t just a career shift—it’s a calling.
The Ministry of the Table
Food is woven throughout the fabric of the Bible. From Jesus breaking bread with His disciples to the promise in Psalm 23 that "He prepares a table before me," the table has always been a place of peace, provision, and ministry.
At Bread and Oil, I don't just deliver food; I help you prepare a space for connection. Whether it’s a wedding, a corporate gathering, or an intimate celebration at your home, I am honored to be a part of your story. My goal is to use the gifts I’ve been given—and the natural, vibrant ingredients I’ve loved since I was a child—to bless your guests and elevate your event.
